Nestled in the rolling hills of Brown County in South Central Indiana, are The Running Horse Barn and Meadow Valley Cabin , set on a 150 acre farm that is known as Hernandia Stable. Hernandia Stable is dedicated to breeding and training Paso Fino horses. The farm and it’s majestic horses make a beautiful backdrop for weddings and events both indoors and outdoors. With over 150 acres, the opportunity for amazing pictures and venue options are almost limitless.
Herb and Nancy Brown are the owners of Hernandia Stable and operate The Running Horse Barn and Meadow Valley Cabin. Though they come from very different backgrounds, they share a deep love for their farm and it’s history. Nancy is a native “Hoosier”, who after graduating from Purdue University, pursued a career as a flight attendant for an international airline. Herb on the other hand was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where he practiced maritime law. They met and were married in 1971.
After living in Puerto Rico for over 40 years, it was time to start new careers in the hospitality industry, first by converting the restored log cabin into a distinctive tourist home that operates under the name”Meadow Valley Cabin”, and more recently by converting the restored barn into an event facility, known as “The Running Horse Barn”.
Today, Herb and Nancy run their farm while offering The Running Horse Barn and Meadow Valley Cabin as an event location for weddings, parties and get-togethers. The cabin can also be utilized as a vacation destination. Herb and Nancy look forward to hosting you and your special event at the Running Horse Barn.
